Student's Council and Monitor System

The Students’ Council is formed each academic year to nurture leadership qualities and instill a sense of responsibility and ownership among students. Serving as a vital link between the Head of the School, teachers, and students, the Council plays an active role in organizing and coordinating various activities outlined in the school Almanac. The primary goal is to empower students, preparing them to become tomorrow’s innovators, leaders, and responsible citizens. Through this initiative, students learn the value of teamwork, accountability, and proactive involvement in their school community.

CRITERIA AND METHOD OF SELECTION OF STUDENTS’ COUNCIL

  • Students from Classes IV onwards are eligible to apply or be nominated.

  • Selection is based on a combination of academic performance, discipline record, leadership and communication skills.

  • A transparent and democratic process is followed, which include campaign and student voting for select positions.

METHOD OF SELECTION OF CLASS MONITORS

We follow a unique and inclusive approach for selecting Class Monitors, believing that every child deserves the opportunity to lead. Method of Assignment:
  • The role of class monitor is rotated regularly to ensure each student gets a chance.

  • This approach instills leadership, responsibility, time management, and cooperation in every learner.

  • Monitors assist in maintaining discipline, coordinating classroom activities, and supporting their peers.

FUNCTIONS OF THE STUDENT’S COUNCIL

  • Represent student interests and act as a bridge between students and school authorities.

  • Assist in organizing school events, celebrations, and assemblies.

  • Promote discipline and a positive school culture.

  • Lead house activities, encourage participation in inter-house competitions.

  • Inspire peers by setting examples of integrity, dedication, and teamwork.
